05/02/08: The May 2008 CCI Update is now available.
This CCI Update highlights exciting spring events in the CCI towns. During May, the CCI towns will be busy hosting BBQ cook-offs, historic home tours, fishing tournaments and celebrating those things that make their communities so unique. This issue also announces the next CCI workshop, Marketing and Branding Creative Communities.

04/03/08: The April 2008 CCI Update is now available.
This issue of the CCI Update announces the release of a detailed summary of the Crafting a Culture for the Arts workshop for those who were unable to join us for the event. The summary highlights the major themes from each presentation and provides the biographies and contact information for each of our presenters. Also featured in this issue of the CCI Update are unique CCI town events for Spring and the lastest developments from some of our CCI towns.

This issue of the CCI Update features a summary of the CCI Crafting a Culture for the Arts workshop and the success story of Paducah, Kentucky, a community that utilized arts as an economic development driver. Also included in this issue of the CCI Update is an excerpt from the NY Times, which mentions the IBX as a new destination for people looking for a rural lifestyle.

This issue updates readers about new proposals in CCI towns. The Town of Ayden has passed a new overlay zoning district and the Murfreesboro CCC has developed a plan to start a summer music series. There is also information about the upcoming Creative Communities: Crafting a Culture for the Arts workshop which will focus on how small rural towns can promote and support arts in the community.
